Public Safety Communications Officer - Part-Time

  • Compensation: Starting salary $15.38/hour, may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
  • Hours: Part-time

Powhatan County is accepting resumes for the position of part-time Public Safety Communications Officer for the Emergency 911 Center.  A high school degree or equivalent and proficient keyboarding skills are required.  Preferred applicants will have prior public safety experience (fire, EMS, rescue) and will have two years’ experience as a public safety communications officer or working in a call center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to provide efficient and effective response to emergency situations.

Hourly rate begins at $15.38 and may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
